Dr. David Arencibia is a highly regarded educator with over two decades of experience as a school leader, dedicated to building cultures of success. Some of David’s notable accolades include being named the 2022 Texas Secondary Principal of the Year, the 2023 National Principal of the Year finalist, and the 2022 Texan of the Year finalist by the Dallas Morning News.
As principal, his school garnered recognition as one of the Best Schools in Texas and the United States, according to US News & World Report. Under his leadership, the school achieved significant milestones, earning designations such as being named a Nationally Recognized Model Campus, a Texas School To Watch, an “A” rated school, and a National PTA School of Excellence. Some notable achievements occurred during a school year when his school achieved 100% of the students experiencing at least a year’s worth of academic growth, among other scores in Reading, Math, and Science that were the highest in school history for state testing.
Along with a group of colleagues, David has worked with the US Secretary of Education in Washington, D.C., several times, focusing on improving“Teacher Burnout” and“Overall Educational Improvement.” He also worked with ESPN and the Choose Kindness Campaign in Los Angeles, California, during the College National Championship activities in collaboration with the Extra Yard for Teachers - College Football Playoff Foundation.
